Challenge
Santommaso Festival is a new music event in Southern Italy. Its name comes from the city’s patron saint — a story rooted in faith and wonder, tied to the extraordinary discovery of sacred relics. For its first edition, the festival needed a visual identity that could translate this sense of marvel into the realm of music, shaping a strong and recognizable image to launch a completely new cultural experience.

Strategy
We set out to create a visual language that could carry the mystical aura of the festival’s name while reflecting the energy of live music. The identity is built around two key components: a distinctive, bold typeface — always in uppercase and centrally aligned — provides stability and continuity; while a series of mystical symbols radiating outward like sound waves introduces flexibility and motion, allowing the graphic system to evolve and remain dynamic across editions.

A bold, energetic color palette infuses the identity with contemporary vibrancy, while the graphic motifs preserve a sense of mysticism and storytelling. The result is a striking, memorable identity that celebrates the city’s roots while embodying the fresh, lively spirit of the festival.
